My iPhone 4s starts up for a few seconds and shuts off and continuously does this and does not stop. Can anyone help?

I have recently come to this problem, the phone was jail broken prior to the problem and will not get out of the loop it is in the Apple logo comes up and then goes away, it restarts and does the same thing and will not stop doing it.
