Change search engine back to Google

Hi all,

I'm normally not technologically challenged, like... at all, but this really has me stumped and might just be a bug, I'm not sure.

A short time ago I switched my default search engine to DuckDuckGo to see how I liked it. After some trial, I decided I preferred good ol' Google and decided to switch back. Problem is, it won't switch back. In my preferences, Google is listed as the default. When I use the omnibar, it reads, "[query] — Search Google" Yet when I press return, it searches in DuckDuckGo. I've gotten used to just using DDG's "!g" bang to do my searching, it's just pretty annoying.

Anyone else have a similar problem/have a solution?

Thanks!

From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari Preferences... Extensions

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
