My iPad mini 2 does not update/download apps.

My iPad is having major problems!

This has happened before and now is doing it again, the only way how i got it to stop was to reset my iPad. I don't want to reset it and was wondering if there was any other way of fixing this or someone else knows of this problem.

The iPad doesn't update apps and when i go on the home screen the app is just a darker color and says "waiting" underneath.

It sometimes doesn't sign me into my account.

And when downloading apps, on the home screen they don't turn up just a grey tile with random lines and crosses appears where the app should be downloaded. Underneath this tile says "waiting".
