does sending pictures on iPhone cost money?

I got my first phone today and I sent 125 pictures from my old iPod to the phone. My cellular data was off, I was just just using WiFi but I'm worried that what I have done will still cost me. Does this action cause a lot of money on my data plan? (I registered the iPhone with the same Apple ID on my iPod so I was basically texting myself)
