Jul 3, 2015 11:22 PM in response to sbermanby mikegoldnj,I've been trying that. It won't install.
I keep getting the message that, "OS X update combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

Jul 4, 2015 12:25 PM in response to mikegoldnjby sberman,So the combo update appears to want to be installed on a newly partitioned disk. If you choose to proceed this way (instead of simply retrying to install Yosemite from the App Store), you would need to have a good, solid backup of your stuff and make sure your hard drive is partitioned as shown here:
"You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume..." alert in Installer - Apple Support

Jul 4, 2015 3:38 PM in response to sbermanby mikegoldnj,Seems that I had to incrementally update back through all the updates.
Each time I'd restart the machine, App Store would show a new update.....had to go through installing each of the developers preview updates and then through the GM candidate updates, and then finally showed the combo update in App store.
Very odd.

Jul 4, 2015 4:15 PM in response to sbermanby mikegoldnj,Yes, and had been updating as new versions were available. Same on my MBA, which did not have this issue.

Jul 4, 2015 4:25 PM in response to mikegoldnjby sberman,Well, clearly the developer installations (installing unreleased code) are subject to issues if trying to simply revert to a supported version. I am not a developer right now, so I cannot point you to where this is documented. But certainly when you subject your machine to code that has not been released, the future results with released code are unpredictable.
