Withings Smart Body Analyzer, WS 50.

Hi!

My Withings scale can't connect to wifi at the 2,4 GHz band. My Airport Extreme works both at the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz band. When I try to connect the scaleto my wifi-network I've got an error message like "can't connect to wifi due to it works at 5 GHz. How to do, so the scale find the 2,4 GHz band ?

iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), null

Use the option in AirPort Utility > Wireless Options to assign a different name to the 5 GHz band. When you do this, the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands will each have different names. That makes it easy to direct the scale to connect to the 2.4 GHz network.

In the example below.....the name of my 2.4 GHz network is TWNDB.

The name of the 5 GHz network is TWNDB5GHz.

Also check to make sure that the names of your networks are short........no more than 20 characters

Use only regular letters and numbers.

Do NOT use special characters in the name of the network like an apostrophe, asterisk, dollar sign, etc

No blank spaces in the name
