Messed up library

So I updated to 12.2, and enabled Apple Music when requested. It then appeared to have totally messed up my library, and synced all the mess across my devices. I did some research and restored my old library and did not accept Apple Music - and cleaned up my devices.

My question is, whenever I make any changes to any songs (like change the Genre or adjust the song name, album name) iTunes seems to mess it all up again. Is this a bug in iTunes? Apple Music and iTunes seems like a total mess at the moment....
