Untitled DVD problem

Hi, my iMac won't play a DVD that can be played on other systems.

I got the data from a VHS video transferred to a DVD but it won't play on my Mac (OS X 10.7.5). It plays fine on a Windows PC, fine on a standalone DVD player, and fine on the Mac at the shop where it was transferred.

When I put the DVD into the disk drive it creates an "Untitiled DVD" folder on the Desktop.

Finder only recognizes it as a "Burn folder", with the Name and Extension: Untitled DVD.fpbf, and the size 6,148 bytes.

Any ideas how I can get it to play on my Mac? I've tried both DVD player ("The media type is not supported") and Quick Time player (couldn't select "Untitled DVD" in Finder when trying to Open File).

Thanks for any help (or attempts to help),

PTB
