iPhone 4s problem when charging

HI!

I recent bought a used iPhone 4s, and it worked fine for a while, but now I have trouble when I am about to charge the phone.

When I connect the charger to phone, it charges, but soon the Apple logo appear on screen and I can't use the phone. After a minute or so, it will be back at home screen, and it's ready to use. It is not a problem if I use the phone constantly, but when it's idling for a half minute or so, the logo shows again an it happens again, even when I hear music on Spotify, it will show the Apple logo and music shuts off..

The battery also get quite hot

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
