iTunes 12.2: Default View For New Playlists

Any way of changing the default view of new playlists away from 'Playlist' view to 'Songs' view?

Playlist view takes up so much real estate! Having to change the view manually every time (by using drop down in top right corner) is not cool.

I think Cher was referring to iTunes updates when singing If I Could Turn Back Time
