Keep getting password invalid on my old Iphone and it deleted my ipod. How do I add my old ipod?

I had an old iphone 4 and made that into my ipod as ipod touch and had an old ipod I still use. When I got my new phone it deleted the old ipod (that I still use altho it is running out of space) and the old iphone4 which i now use as an ipod touch. It asks me for a password, but constantly tells me the password is invalid, although it is not. I have connected both ipods at once to my computer but it seems to only acknowledge one at a time in Itunes while connected. Once I disconnect it seems to get rid of the old ipod...I should have four devices connected and it only shows 3. So how do I add it to the device manager?

The old iphone 4 keeps asking for a password but keeps telling me it is invalid, which it isn't...I suspect it is getting confused because of the devices.

iPhone 4S, iOS 8.4
