Q: Ipod is offline in Find Iphone app but I'm using it!!!

My son's Ipod Touch is showing offline, but I'm using it and it's connected to the internet.  I can't seem to figure out why it's saying it's offline.  Date is correct, location services are turned on, App is turned on.  The ios 6.1.6 is up to date.  Everything seems to be set correct.  My daughters is set the same and it works just fine.  PLEASE HELP!

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6, null

If I remove it from iCloud I can get it to show up as online but still no location and it only stays that way for a minute, then goes back to offline.

iCloud: Troubleshooting Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac - Apple Support

Next, try when connected to another network.

    Then:

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

    - Go to Settings>iCloud and sign out/delete the account from the iPod and then relogin.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
