New hd. Will only finish login for guest account

i just installed a new 1TB hybrid hard drive. Finished restoring to it but now when I try to boot, my MacBook Pro seems to be locked with the spinning wheel below my user icon. But, if I choose the guest account then it is able to login fine. I tried adding a new account but it also just locks up. Even in safe mode. Tried repairing disk and permissions in disk utility. Same thing. I surely could use some help.
