imac wont update to yosemite

Hey guys,

I've already updated my imac OSX 10.9.5 to Yosemite through the app store, but there weren't any changes made.

My mac tells me its the same version as before, and when i go to the app store, it says that there aren't any updates available.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

You downloaded the Yosemite upgrade from the app store, did you run the installer?
