IMEI and Serial no. are different on phone box and in phone 5S

I bought i phone 5s from amazon.com had problems.The IMEI and serial no. are different on phone box and in phone. Amazon.com asked to contact third party seller. he said IMEI No. changes while unlocking the phone for international use. Later started blaming me back. Amazon is not taking any steps ahead. How can such a premium product is abused by such seller. Please suggest !!! what shall I do. Phone is just 1.5 month old and having dead spots.

The IMEI does NOT change when the phone is unlocked.

Have you contacted Apple? If the phone is still under warranty, Apple should be able to help you.

You really need to deal with Amazon; it is their seller, and the seller is clearly lying to you. They have sold you a repackaged phone. Unless the description specifically states this, it is fraud.

Neither the IMEI nor the Serial Number change when a phone is unlocked.
