Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If I understand correctly, a portion of the screen on your iPhone 5s is discolored or not displayed correctly. Take a look at the article linked below which provides a lot of great information that will resolve most issues with screens on iOS devices.

If you see lines, missing sections, discoloration, or poor image quality
- Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, reset your device.
- If restarting or resetting doesn’t fix the issue, restore your device.
- If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.
