Can GarageBand record LP and automatically detect tracks?

Is there a way to record the entire side of an LP in GarageBand and have it separate the tracks so I needn't manually break them apart into different files?

I don't mind manually naming them, but I'd love to find a script or something that allows me to reduce the repetitive workload I've got ahead of me.

I'm about to start digitizing about 100 LPs.

It's a Sony turntable with USB exporting.

I've been able to record into GarageBand (though I'm still working out how to monitor via macbook speakers--researching that now too).

Any help would be great. Thanks!

In GarageBand you can record an entire side at once, and then manually cut the recording between the different songs. Mark each individual song by the cycle region to export each song as a separate audio file to iTunes.

But I don't know of any scripts that can make the splitting into separate songs easier.
