Logic Pro X Key Commands Not Responding

Hi Guys,

So I just jumped in LPX from LP9. Many of the new key commands i'm not really digging. Although it's frustrating, i'm trying to learn them. I'm using this website for learning -- http://www.logicprokeycommands.com/logic-pro-x-key-commands-10-1-1/ -- . Only about 50% of the key commands are actually responding in Logic. For examples "P" brings up piano roll in the bottom window. But when I want to open the piano roll window separately "cmd 4" it doesn't work. I thought about reseting my key commands manually but the option to edit key commands or use the "logic 9" key commands isn't even there (In the top left "Logic Pro X" pull down menu under "Key Command Presets" it only gives options for languages and Protools configuration). Any idea's on why my version of logic isn't responding. It's super frustrating to gain any momentum on a project. Thanks for your help!

Specs:

Logic Pro X Version 10.1.1

"U.S." Key Command Configuration (within logic)

Numeric Keypad Keyboard

I figured it out.

The answer is: You must enable your "Advanced Settings"

How to:

Go to the drop down "Logic Pro X" menu in the top left. Then go "Preference" --> "Advanced Tools". Click that. From there you need to check the box that says "Show Advanced Tools". Check whichever Advanced settings you want. I checked "MIDI", "Control Surfaces and "Advanced Editing".

This is also the fix if you can't view your full project settings. ie: MIDI (to turn note chase on and such).
