Just did the iTunes 12.2 update onto my Macbook and my first impressions are less than good.
EVERY SINGLE PLAYLIST is gone... POOF!.. Goodbye to every single playlist and rating I've made since my first iPod Mini circa 2005.
iTunes 12 might has well have been a bulldozer that wrecked my iTunes library and left the shattered remains in a pile on my lawn.
Thanks a bunch, Apple.
While I'm using a Windows computer, so it is impossible to compare, I did not lose any content from my iTunes library, nor did it affect any of my playlists. All are intact. Are you saying that all of your media has been deleted from the hard drive of your computer?
Content remained.. Playlists and ratings gone.
10GB of Music downloaded over the last 10 years and placed into 50ish playlists all now disorganized.
Biggest frustration is that I've spent the last few weeks aggressively going through and giving one star rating to a bunch of tracks to weed out some of the stuff I don't want anymore and I went to sync my iPhone and delete them today.
Complete and total waste of time.
Did you turn on Apple Music or one of the other new services? I'm sorry, as I said, I use Windows, and did not experience this at all. Maybe someone else that uses Mac can read this and help.
