I keep getting error messages. The last one said phone cannot be found, though it was connected to my computer. I cannot update or restore it. My iphone screen shows a an iphone cord, like it is telling me to connect my phone. It is already connected though. I've tried different cords and USB connection points. I don't know how to better explain it.
Windows XP
First, Resett your iPhone. Then Restart your computer and try again.
TO Reset hold down the Wake/Sleep and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo.
I have the same problem after I updated itunes to 12.2 and backed up my iphone the tried the update to 8.4 and it failed after wiping my phone and not updating it after. Uninstalling hasn't worked and I've tried 4 times. I still have the cord logo asking to plug it into itunes. Help!!!
Ok, I just found out about this and it worked for me. Search for services. Click on local services. Look for Apple Mobile Device Service. Stop it then start it again. My phone is still updating but it was finally recognized after trying this. Hope this works for you Robby.
