can anyone tell me the shuffle option doesn't work with the 8.4 software update on my iPod touch? I can't get through a playlist without hearing the same song 2 or 3 times because shuffle isn't working. Thanks for any advice.

IT is possible to have both, the Shuffle and the Repeat functions enabled at the same time. From what you describe, that's what you did, hence the repeats. Un-select the Repeat function.
