Sound stops working after update 8.4

so I update to iOS 8.4 about 2 days after it was released. I just now realized that my sound wasn't working. When I try to adjust my ringer it shows the pop up bit doesn't show the blocks to adjust and doesn't change how loud it is. When I try watching a video the pop up doesnt come up and the sound is mute. I have checked my silent and it always off. When I restart my iPhone the sounds works finE, but after I put it to sleep a coupke times it stops working again. Any advice? My iPhone is 5s
