I just updated iTunes to Version 12.2.0.145 and now I get this error: iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone. I've restarted both phone and laptop (windows 8.1)
iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.3, windows 8.1
I've removed iTunes 12.2.0.145 and reinstalled 12.1.2.27. I opened the most recent previous iTunes library. I continue to get the same error. All music syncs properly. Its only the contacts with outlook.
There seem to be lots of problems with this latest upgrade. I would appreciate if someone from Apple would responds to this.
OK, now I've applied most the trouble shooting steps in the help page, Troubleshooting Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010. I reset the sync history which did nothing. Them I attempted to overwrite the contacts in the phone with the data on the computer and I got the same error message.
This is totally unacceptable!
After some searching through Google I found the fix at imobie.com. The answer to question #17 will probably fix most of the sync issues others are having as well with syncing with outlook.
