I was on some website on Safari and it gave me an alert saying to watch free movies and the only option was "Okay", and later I was using Google Chrome and was redirected to an advertisemen and later it crashed and showed the Apple logo. Can any of this install malware or a virus or be sign of one?

Only if you jailbreak it. What you describe results from irresponsible surfing or scam pop-ups. Turn on the ad blocker in Settings for Safari.
SO no virus rights cause the alert with only one option may have installed something and my iPad has never crashed and showed the Apple logo before.
