iPad Air 2 crashed and showed Apple logo

My iPad Air 2 crashed and showed the Apple logo and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. Does this happen to anybody else with an iPad Air 2 or could this be a bug with iOS 8.4. I was using Google Chrome while this happened. Also could there be any virus or malware that caused this because on Safari a pop up came up on some website that keep redirecting me to other websites and it only gave me one option tnat to watch free movies and in Google Chrome I was also redirected to an advertisement and when I closed the tabs it crashed.
