If I download a rented SD movie from iTunes on my iPad will that 1.6GB of movie take up some my 32GB memory permanently?

I need to know wether or not this movie download will disappear from my iPad once I compelte my 24hr rental.?

Yes. You are only streaming it for 24 hours. After that it will be gone.
