Why my week old IPad mini 3 is giving me such a hard time

MY brand new IPad mini 3 is restarting by itself usually when Multitasking and also when I'm trying to write and email or text half of my screen stop working so I'm unable to use part of the keyboard usually the right side. Also, Apple Music pretty much is not working for me, I'm trying to use it but just keep getting stuck and then the app close by itself and then I have to close it completelly so I can star using it again but without multitasking inside the app. That does not happen in my other devices. I haven't drop the iPad or anything so I don't know what to do, is pretty frustrating
