How can I change my apple music subscription from single to family?

In the iTunes Store (in my case, on my Mac) scroll down to the bottom.

Under Manage, click Account.

Under settings / Subscriptions, click Manage.

Under Apple Music Membership, click Edit.

Change the renewal option from Individual to Family.

In my case, it warned me that my card would be charged right away, but it did not, it left the same trial period.

This is the most ridiculous location for this setting. It is not surprising though, considering how awful the account screen is in iTunes. I find it amazing that they do not feel the need to label Apple Music as its own entry and instead hide it under subscriptions. I wonder if anyone high up at Apple every goes into the iTunes account settings themselves. The interface hasn't been updated since the store was created.
