video cannot be played on this iPod

There appears to be an issue with iTunes 12.2.0.145 and 12.2.1.16 with downloaded videos that should register as purchased or protected rather than as Apple Music. These are being treated with FairPlay Version 2 DRM and cannot be copied to non-iOS devices. One would hope that this is a bug. It might be worth using the report a problem links in your account history to complain that your recent purchases cannot currently be used on your classic as expected. Alternatively you could roll back to iTunes 12.1.2.27 (you will also need to restore an older library database) then redownload the videos from your purchase history. The fresh copies will transfer to your device.

I forgot to mention that I contacted Apple via email, that´s what I meant by "word".

Now, if you look in iTunes you'll see that some older music videos do not offer an option to purchase/download SD or HD. Do you think I should change a particular setting on Preferences?

I have the exact same problem: recent purchases of music videos are not syncing onto my iPod Classic 160Gb. No word from Apple yet, I might request a refund of the latest purchases.

Not sure what "word" you expect from Apple.

Perhaps you have purchased/downloaded the HD version (high definition) of the video, which an iPod Classic cannot play.

Hence the message.

Thank you for your comments; I´ll give it a try going back to iTunes 12.1.2.27.

Test with iTunes 12.2.2.25 if you haven't already done so. If I'm not mistaken the issue might be fixed in Windows but not for Macs.
