iTunes 12.2 won't stream movies on my MacBook Pro

I just updated to iTunes 12.2, but I really am not a music person so didn't bother with Apple Music. What I do want to do is stream movies so I don't have to download them to my hard drive. Since the update, iTunes freezes every time I try to stream a movie! It is not a problem with the internet - I can stream movies on my iPad and Apple TV just fine.

Anyone else experiencing this? any fixes?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
