Jul 9, 2015 10:14 PM in response to Audio Textureby pamrozen,I tried this and could not drop iTunes into AppCleaner. I remembered that when I had previously tried to restore from Time Machine that I had received a message saying that iTunes could not be modified as it was required by OS X. I looked into this message further, and found these instructions how to fix that. Even though after changing the permissions I still could not use AppCleaner - it disappeared whenever I tried to drag iTunes into it - I was able to restore both the iTunes app and the iTunesLibrary.itl file using Time Machine. All is well now. http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/13/delete-itunes-in-mac-os-x-10-7-lion/

Jul 11, 2015 7:45 AM in response to jayessemmby Rysz,I have a huge library, but one of the benefits of iTunes 12 for me was that now everything is a bit faster.
MAke a backup of the entire library, Option-launch iTunes and select to rebuild the database.
And let Apple know about your issues here http://www.apple.com/feedback/

Jul 14, 2015 6:23 AM in response to jayessemmby Adamsnel,I also would like to uninstall itunes 12.2. It is not for me either. Apple are heading the wrong way with itunes. I will not be updating it again if i can get back to 12.1

Jul 14, 2015 2:10 PM in response to Adamsnelby Rysz,Tthe only difference between iTunes 12.2 and 12,1 is the enabling of Apple Music and iCloud Music Library, which you can disable in Preferences/Settings.

Jul 14, 2015 6:23 PM in response to Ryszby Adamsnel,As well as the loss of the Downloads window, replaced by a dropdown that will not stay open. This is one of the reasons I want to go back to the last version. I used the Downloads floating window all the time and it annoys me somewhat they took a handy feature like that away. There is also no progress bar, that i liked, replaced with a small round pie shaped progress indicator instead. Not a fan of 12.2.

Jul 15, 2015 3:39 AM in response to Ryszby Adamsnel,No it was definitely there. I have it on another computer and it is there on that one. It changed in 12.2. Apple told me that they changed it in this version, and also with the manual downloads of podcasts. Apparently the podcasts was due to complaints made by users claiming they didn't want their podcasts automatically downloaded
