Installed latest iPod update and it has now totally shut down

My iPod 5th Gen was updated to iOS 8.4 yesterday. I played my music as I slept and it was on charge, and when I woke up, it was turned off. I thought it was the iPod not being charged (my chargers playing up), but when I went to turn it in, it started the boot screen, then waited on the screen for two to five minutes and then turned off.

its it's been doing this all day.

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
