After upgrading my iPhone 6 to 8.4 I'm having similar issues.
Once a day or every two days, my phone will loose the signal and the only solution to recover it is to reboot it. After doing it, I immediately get my signal back and the phone will work without a problem for a while.
I have tried with putting the phone in Airplane Mode to see if I can recover the signal but that doesn't seem to work. As I said earlier, the only way is to reboot the phone.
I Tried restarting the phone, i tried to remove the sim, i even change my sim but nothig. I reset the phone, but it doesn't workin.
I guess that you will need to take your phone to an Apple Store and see if they can help you there. Good luck.
