    Go to Settings > General > About. The Capacity shown there is capacity after iOS so a 16GB iPad will show around 12.5GB for example. Immediately below that is Available.

    You can also see detail of storage at Settings > General Usage > Manage Storage (in the Usage section, not the iCloud section).
