This just started with the OSX 10.10.3 update. This could be a coincidence and not related to the update. I don't know. I have installed the 10.10.4 update today and the line still exists.
The line is approximately one pixel and extends vertically from bottom to top of display and is located almost in the middle of the screen +- 5%
Any ideas?

Try changing the screen resolution to see if it is a display driver issue or if there is a problem with the physical display.
Try resetting your Mac's SMC and PRAM.

Thanks for your reply. Tried changing the screen resolution and the line remains at every level of resolution. Just gets more prominent as screen resonution decreases.
No luck also with PRAM and SMC resets.
Bummer.
