My apple id randomly switched to a didferent game center?

i Have an ipad and an iphone who both have their own accounts and are not linked in any way. Then one day my iphone gamecenter randomly switched to the same gamceneter on my ipad and the email did not change. Now i have 2 apple ids signed into one gamecenter and there is no possible way to get my old one back. This is completely wrong and should not happen..
