i installed ios 8.4 now my screen keeps freezing up

Me too. :-( My husband is taking it to the Verizon store to see if they know what's going on (the Apple store is too far away for now). I'll let you know if they are able to fix it. Dumb update.

Something is broken. I have an appointment on Tuesday.

Verizon couldn't help. I tried doing a hard reset with the USB on my computer, but the phone won't even turn off in order to do the force restart. My computer won't recognize it, and the one time it did, I was not able to approve the connection on my phone. Going to the Apple store tomorrow. Sigh.

i just read on another forum how to fix this. my phone froze up on me and i could do anything. reset after reset and finally i was able to get into my phone. deleted find my iPhone app and everything started working again. someone posted that solution and I'm good now. find my iPhone needs an update so make sure you not only deactivate it but delete it. it may also be the solution to the gps problems people were having.

iPhone 5c iOS 8.4 unresponsive screen or freezing

SO I find I have literally two seconds after waking the phone to use the touchscreen, and then it Freezes. So I kept toggling it until I could delete Find My iPhone fast enough, but still didn't solve the problem even after another restart. :-/

I was able to wipe my phone clean after toggling it sleep/wake several times. Now during setup, the touchscreen went out again. Think the new update totally destroyed my phone.

1. connect iPhone that keep freezing with iTunes

2. press home and power and hold about 10 seconds

3. release power but you have to press home and hold about 10-15 seconds iTunes will see iPhone recovery mode

My phone was actually defective. Somehow it just so happened to occur at the same time as the software update? So weird. Anyway, went to the Apple Store and it was definitely a defective phone. Got a new one.
