while using my ipod the screen turned white so i tried holding the power button and home button together but it didn't respond at all. now what?

This is the second time it has done this in 24 hours. The first time it was less than 20% battery so I just waited for it to die. Now it is full charge and I don't want to let it die because what will I do if it happens a third time?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
