Can't move Iphoto library!

Hello!

My startup disk is full due to my large iphoto library.

I decided to move it to an external HD. I ran a full time machine, and tried to drag the library to the external HD- but got an error code 36.

Then, I ran a carbon copy of my HD. But when i opened the backup folder, the pictures folder was empty.

Any clues?
