Cannot See Photos

Ever since I "upgraded" from iPhoto to Photos, Apple TV can no longer see my photos under Computers. The remote computer is running iTunes, is on the same network, blah blah blah.

I can access my music and videos just fine.

It worked fine with iPhoto.

Yes, I have Home Sharing on, yes I have the albums selected in Photos, yes, I am logged into the same Apple ID. Yes, I have restarted the computer and iTunes and the Apple TV. Yes, I have installed the latest versions of iTunes and the Apple TV OS.

I know the connection from iTunes to the Apple TV is fine because I can access all music and videos. Since I moved from iPhoto to Photos now no photos show up.

Did you go into iTunes (home sharing - choose photos to share) to change the source?

Try toggling off/on home sharing and then reboot both devices along with router.

I'm having the same exact issue. Ever since changing from iPhoto to Photos I can no longer see on Apple TV, but can see music and videos.

Do we now have to use iCloud Photos for this? I hope not because it is extremely slow on Apple TV.

No, that is a completely separate feature.

It's working fine on my system, did you try the above suggestions?

I have figured it out...in iTunes, under File there is a Home Sharing choice and from there you can choose which photos to share. Selected the albums I wanted to be able to see and now it works fine.
