DVD Sharing: difficult to watch movies...

Hello.

I'm on a MacBook Air - 2014 model with OS X 10.10.4 installed in it.

I wanted to watch a DVD movie, so I decided to log onto my sisters Windows laptop (which has a DVD drive).

I used the Remote Disc solution in order to watch the movie from my Mac. I grabbed my Snow Leopard DVD's and installed the Remote Disc on the Windows laptop. Everything's working fine on the Windows and on the Mac. The problem starts when the DVD starts working: right before entering on the main menu, everything freezes! I tried several DVD's with data or movies, and it happened with all of them!

Is this some sort of incompatibility?! IS there anything else I should be doing?!
