Video out of sync with audio via Bluetooth

I am baffled that after years of use this hasn't been resolved. Obviously Bluetooth isn't instant and there is always going to be a audio delay, this is not a issue for phone conversations or listening to music buts it's a huge issue and extremely annoying when trying to watch a movie via Bluetooth. A simple fix (and something that's been implemented in most home theaters) is manually creating a video delay. In example is on my Samsung home theater I could set a delay of 4ms and the video will play 4ms later to sync with the audio. we are on iOS 8.3 and iPhone 6 why hasn't this been resolved? It's really a simple fix and simple programming.
