Apple TV will no longer recognise my apple ID and password? With the apple tv on there is now nothing in main menu?

It is not properly connected to the network

Make sure location is set correctly

DNS should be set to auto (settings - general - network)

If on wifi try ethernet

Make sure router has port 123 open

I have the same problem. I've been away few weeks, returned to find apple tv has no channels and won't recognise id/password??? I'm hoping a fix comes up.

I Also have the exact same problem. I have tried everything. My id and password are working on my iMac, iPad, iPhone but not AppleTv.

a Message comes up "Cannot connect to iTunes Store".........why??????

i Have set the location, wi fi is working, so annoying. If anyone can help that would be great.

What does port 123 open on router mean? Do the light need to be flashing?

the apple support office is closed in Australia it is midnight here.

You need to refer to your router manual to make sure that port is open

MY god that worked!! Thanks. I turned on hotspot chose it from the menu in settings 'General > Network. Everything fine after hours of angst.

Port 123. You can use the hotspot, but it likely will happen again if there is an issue with your local network.
