How to mute single midi tracks going to external multi timbral synth or drum machine

Hi,

I am new to Logic pro X and i can't seem to mute or solo individual tracks on my Ensoniq ESQ-1 or Volca beats.

I have been able to do this on ALL my previous DAW (Even back in my Atari days) and even though i look everywhere, i can't find the answer.

I am using:

- a Saffire LE card for all audio input from mixer and to send midi to my Volca Beats,

- a M-audio Midisport uno 1x1 to send midi in and out of my ESQ-1

- a Little Phatty plugged by usb (No problem muting or soloing)

I did the set up in MIDI Studio in utillities. I'm most probably overlooking some setting somewhere but i am now clueless.

Everything works fine, just can't mute or solo external midi from logic.
