METADATA_NEVER_INDEX File - cannot open my shuffle when hooking up to my laptop....how do it get into it?

I cannot open my Ipod Shuffle when trying to transfer more songs to and from it on my laptop. It shows the above file name and I don't know how to open it to get to the songs that are already on my shuffle. Does anyone know how to get past this file to the content of the shuffle?
