Screen rotation won't work on iPhone 5S IOS 8.4

iPhone 5S, A7, IOS 8.4, 32GB

The rotation function for the screen on my iPhone 5S won't work any more.

When I try to rotate the screen for videos or to access the scientific calculator it wont rotate,

I have tried resetting multiple times,

I have tried the work around for the iPad that some have had success with which is changing the Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce Motion switch to off (however mine was already off so this didn't do anything when I turned it on and off again).

Finally the rotation lock on my phone is not on.

Anyone have a clue?

Some apps simply will not rotate.

these apps rotated before and are still meant to rotate as our all the games I have.

None of my apps rotate any more, since the update

Ah, it's since the update...

Try a reset:

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).

Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
