Albums duplicated on devices when I synced with cable with laptop

I am not using iCloud- had problems and deleted all photos from all devices as recommended by Apple.

When I then synced my devices (with cable) to upload my photos from my Macbook, the albums duplicated on all the devices except the one where I chose specific albums to sync. That one is ok.

The duplication is on the devices where I asked it to copy all albums.

Help please
