How to download to external hard drive
I am running low on my Laptop memory, My question is is there a way to have all the downloads go to my external hard drive? I cant update my iphone because there isnt enough memory
Change the media folder location in iTunes preferences. All future media will go there. This is a simple solution but may get messy in the long run when it comes time to change drives.
Alternatively consider moving your whole library to an external drive. Copy the entire iTunes folder to the external drive, start iTunes while holding down the shift key and when prompted select the iTunes Library.itl file in the folder you just copied.
