Syncing itunes

I have an iphone 5 with iOS 8.3. When I plug it into the computer it says preparing to sync and goes through the motions. It does sync apps, but will not sync music/playlists. No message, nothing. Nothing happens no matter what I do.

Hi there Susan,


It sounds like you are unable to sync your music and playlists but everything else seems to work fine. I would use the troubleshooting outlined in the following article. Even though the title of the article says it is for something else, the troubleshooting is relevant to the issue here.


Resolve iOS update and restore errors in iTunes


If that does not do the trick, I would next uncheck the music checkbox that you tick to sync your music, then apply that change. This will erase your music and playlists. Then restart the phone one more time and sync your music and playlists back to the phone.
