Jul 6, 2015 5:33 AM in response to jakub.geciby KiltedTim,If you responded to the SMS message and used a link in it to enter your iCloud credentials, you got scammed. The thief removed the activation lock using the credentials you supplied.
Change your iCloud password immediately and notify your credit card issuer that the card you had associated with your account has been compromised.

Jul 6, 2015 5:35 AM in response to jakub.geciby anypats,The SMS was not from Apple. This was a message sent by whoever found the iPhone and was a scam to get you to give them your credentials so they could remove the activation lock.
Edit: Or as KiltedTim said (replied just moments before me)
